Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has immediately ordered for the details of all secret funds of all ministries from the auditor general of Pakistan, Dunya New reported on Thursday. Chairman of the committee ahs also ordered to withhold the salary of the Director General of Broadcasting Corporation of Pakistan. The meeting of PAC was held in Islamabad today under the chairmanship of Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan. Members of the committee expressed their reservations on speedy purchase of equipment by the ministry of information. The members also expressed reservations on the use of Rs.1 billion by the ministry. Responding to a query of the PAC, DG Broadcasting Corporation Murtaza Solangi said that his contract has already expired while the ministry of information has directed him to continue with his present position. Secretary information also confirmed Murtaza Solangis statement. Secretary information further said that cross media ownership is not practiced in any part of the world but the previous Pakistani regime allowed it. Chairman of committee Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said that Pakistan is not anyones personal asset or a banana republic. DG Radio has been working without a contract for the last six months. He directed DG Radio to leave the meeting, calling him a stranger.
