Lahore (Dunya News) – The Health and Hygiene Awareness Campaign was organised by the students of Institute of Communication Studies (ICS), University of the Punjab in Hassan Town, Lahore.

Participants of the awareness program also included Director Incharge ICS and Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Health Centre of University of the Punjab.

The students and other participants of the campaign mingled with locals and guided them about the health and hygiene issues.  Moreover, it was also ensured that more and more women could be informed about the health and awareness issues.

 

The participants of the campaign stressed on washing activities to be part of daily routine especially among children.

Speaking on the occasion, the campaign coordinator Syeda Ammarah Bano was of the opinion that the associated union council was paying no heed to the miserable health situation prevailing in the area.

She further added that piles of garbage could easily be seen everywhere and open gutters were adding to the miseries of locals as well.
