Summary The Chairman of PTI demanded the premier to resign

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has boycotted joint session of the Parliament summoned on Wednesday after alleging the premier of misusing Kashmir dispute to sway nation’s attention from probe of Panama leak.

The leader of PTI addressed a press conference at his residence in Bani Gala after chairing a key meeting of senior members of the political party.

He cleared that PTI stood with all the political parties in support of Kashmiris but Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would not be allowed to divert attention.

Kashmir cause was a common ground among all the political parties which was why Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Vice-Chairman of PTI attended All Parties Conference on Monday, he said. Khan further said that he gave a lucid answer to Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister in his speech to Raiwind rally.

He recalled that the government did not accept opposition’s Terms of References for probe of Panama leak against premier’s family.

The Chairman of PTI demanded the premier to resign and the government be led by another member of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. He also let it know that the party would give details over shutting down Islamabad by Thursday, a claim that he made on September 30.

Imran Khan had announced on September 30, while addressing a rally in Raiwind of Lahore, to shut down Islamabad if the premier did not offer himself for accountability of alleged unaccounted-for wealth by the end of Moharram.

The decision has come in after Pervez Khattak, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa represented PTI at a meeting presided over by Nawaz Sharif earlier today to gauge progress of NAP.
