Stopping long march is against democratic spirit, says Altaf

MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has said that creating hurdles in the long march of Sunni Ittehad Council is against the spirit of democracy, Dunya News reported on Sunday. He has demanded from the government that the long march should not be stopped and that the government should refrain from creating hurdles. In a statement issued from London, Altaf Hussain has condemned the shelling and torturing of the long march participants by Rawalpindi administration. He alos demanded that political parties have all the right to protest against the government. Altaf Hussain also urged the government to free all those arrested during the long march.
