Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) long march, organized against terrorist attacks on shrines and price hike, is continued with the Punjab government allowing it to reach Data Darbar, Lahore. The rally would climax at Lahore. Police in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi jump-started into action since Saturday morning in a bid to stem Councils Long March from Islamabad to Lahore. Hazrart Bari Imam Shrine was sealed. Police stopped the rally near Soha Rawalpindi, where the activists had held a sit-in protest after which the rally was allowed to move ahead. Head of the Sunni Ittehad Council Sahibzada Fazal Karim has regretted on police baton charge over the peaceful protest and vowed to protect blasphemy laws by all means.
