Summary Analysts predict rise in political tensions in the country after the Chief Justice's decision.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government and opposition are leveling allegations upon one-another after Chief Justice (CJ) Anwar Zaheer Jamali denied the formation of a judicial commission to probe into the Panama Leaks issue, reported Dunya News on Friday.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Tallal Chaudry stated that the Chief Justice apologised upon forming the commission as a result of the Opposition’s attitude on the issue whereas Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shibli Faraz said that the Supreme Court’s decision endorses the Opposition’s stance based on the matter.
Political analysts state that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure that a deadlock situation does not arise out of the entire scenario as the political temperature in the country is expected to rise after the Chief Justice’s decision of not forming a judicial commission.
