Govt free to change counsel under Constitution: Babar

Federal Law Minister Babar Awan has said that the government could hire any lawyer of its choice under Article 10 of the Constitution. Talking to media in Lahore on Monday, Babar contradicted stated that the government would change its counsel in NRO case, whether the Supreme Court allows it or not. We have a right to change our lawyer and we will do so; we will never infringe the Constitutional limits, Babar stated. In a defiant tone Babar said that Kamal Zafar, adviser to the PM and governments counsel in NRO case, would continue with his new position. He said that the democratic process should continue in the country, and vowed that accountability would not be allowed to turn into revenge.
