Summary Resolution regarding security of schools was passed during the proceedings of the Assembly
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A number of issues were discussed during the proceedings of the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday including debate on the postponement of the census and the security of educational institutions in the province, reported Dunya News.
During the prayer break, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) member Khurram Sher Zaman tried to offer a pray for rain in Karachi but the Speaker did not allow him doing so and ordered that the Member of Provincial Assembly’s (MPA) microphone be turned off.
Opposition leader Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan turned the Assembly’s attention towards the delay in census and the burglary that took place at the residence of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Adnan Ahmed. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Nisar Khuhro ascertained that the case regarding the burglary has been registered and the perpetrators will soon be curtailed.
Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah while addressing to the Assembly stated that the census has not been cancelled but postponed and that Sindh has delivered its stance in an exceptional manner in the meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI).
During the questions and answers session, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi criticised Manzoor Wassan for being late in attending the Assembly’s proceeding and for being unable to locate his seat in the Assembly.
Resolution regarding the security of educational institutions was passed unanimously and the next meeting of the Assembly was postponed till Friday, March 4th.
