ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, the Spokesperson has said that the Sindh government should head towards the court if it has any doubts regarding the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) case. The statement also said that Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) leaders are creating conflict in the investigation of corruption cases by repeatedly hurling baseless criticism towards the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The Spokesperson further said that Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar had offered PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari a court scrutiny of all Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cases if Zaradri wanted.

The Spokesperson stated that a request for a court commission and scrutiny could be lodged next week if the PPP leadership wanted.

Earlier Sindh government had issued a statement saying that they were accepting the offer of Judicial Commission, made by the Federal government, to investigate the operation carried out by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and FIA.

Nisar made this offer after Asif Ali Zardari expressed his concerns over powers of the institutions in Sindh.

The statement issued by Sindh Government’s spokesperson also stated that NAB and FIA were exceeding their limits. The statement mentioned that FIA had taken away 1500 files of KMC and hopefully judicial commission will clarify misunderstandings on this issue.
