Summary NAB gets cautious over complaints about irregularities found in over 2000 appointments in IESCO

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Irregularities in more than 2000 appointments in Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) are to be investigated, Dunya news reported.

According to details, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) started probing into alleged irregularities in appointments made in IESCO, which numbered over two-thousand.

It was also revealed to NAB that large sums of money were received against alleged appointments. NAB started probing into alleged irregularities in appointments made in IESCO. Record was extracted from IESCO and Ministry of Water and Power.

Complaints received by NAB highlighted two thousands and eighty appointments up to seventeenth grade in IESCO and were held unjustifiable. It was said that merit was not considered and that bribe was received against these appointments.

Sources said that high-profile civil servants are possibly to be included in investigation over the appointments.
