Railway’s Sampars Union ends protest after promise of demands being accepted

Summary rains halted during the strike were once again up and running after 2 hours of wait.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Pakistan Railways Sampars Union ended its protest after assurance that their demands will be accepted.

The Railway Police had earlier arrested the central leader of Station Master Union Raja Irfan in Quetta on the basis of 3 MPOs. The Sampars Union protested against the arrest by halting the trains of the country.

Green Line train was stopped in Mian Channu, Karachi Express in Mohsinwal while Bugti Express bound for Quetta was stopped at Khanewal station.

Chief Executive Railway Javed Anwar Bubak took notice of the protest and contacted the officials. Bubak assured the railway officials of the release of Irfan and has summoned them to Lahore for further negotiations after which the Union called off the strike.

Trains halted during the strike were once again up and running after 2 hours of wait.
