Summary Sacrifices given for this country are not for liberalism, says JI chief.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Jamat-e-Islami’s (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq on Wednesday stated that the nation needs mutual support of one another at this time rather than any atomic bombs. The JI chief stated that the leaders of the country still see Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi as a friend but view ‘Madrasah’ (religious schools) as an enemy.
Addressing the participants of ‘Seerat-e-Nabvi’ (Peace Be Upon Him) conference in Mansoora Lahore, the JI chief stated that he was disappointed over Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s statement on liberalism. He stated that the sacrifices given for this country were not for liberalism.
Siraj-ul-Haq stated that the country is experiencing a competition between those are the servants of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and those who are the servants of US President Obama.
He added that we look towards the government while the government looks towards the US, which he cited as being an unfortunate moment for leaders of Islamic nations.
The JI chief further added that corruption and Pakistan cannot go hand in hand. He stated that the country was not looted by the poor but rather by the rich.
Siraj-ul-Haq, on this occasion, also announced the commencement of a nationwide campaign against corruption and a move to save the country by uniting the nation through the platform of all religious parties.
