The flood waters continue to cause havoc in three tehsils of Dadu including Meehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah and Johi.At least 450 villages of Meehar have been inundated by the flood water. A breach was made in Mehar drain to save Meehar city. Large evacuation form the city is underway. At least 250,000 people have retreated from the city in a bid to avoid the flood waters. Thousands of people have been forced to spend the night under the open sky, waiting helplessly for governments relief.The flood waters are also threatening the Dadu city. People in large number have taken refuge at different relief camps.Pakistan Army has also established a tent city in Shikarpur to assist the local population. Separate rescue camps have also been established in the areas of Kumber and Naseerabad. According to a statement form ISPR, Pakistan Air Force is actively involve in disturbing aid to the flood affected areas using the C-130 aircrafts. As many as 12000 patients have been treated at outdoor medical camps established by the Army. The Army is also working to restore the road links in different areas.
