ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday stated that perpetrators of terror attacks in Paris are enemies of Islam.
The Prime Minister gave these remarks in a meeting French ambassador Martine Dorance at PM House in Islamabad.
He said terrorists are enemies of humanity and their elimination is inevitable for the world peace.
Expressing grief over the incident, the premier said Pakistanis realized the pain of French people because they themselves are victims of terrorism.
He said operation Zarb-e-Azb and National Action Plan (NAP) enjoy support of the entire nation.
On the occasion, the French ambassador thanked the Government of Pakistan and people for their support to France at a difficult time.
"We are touched by the response of common people and really were moved on the messages of condolence received from students of Army Public School Peshawar," she said.
At least 129 people were killed in the shootings and suicide bombings that targeted a concert hall, bars and restaurants and the Stade de France national stadium last Friday.
It was the second major attack in Paris in less than a year. In January, gunmen killed 17 people at Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine, on the streets and in a Jewish supermarket.
The French authorities today confirmed that the Islamic State militant suspected of orchestrating the Paris attacks was killed in a major police raid in the French capital on Wednesday.
Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a Belgian of Moroccan origin was linked to a series of terrpr plots in Europe over the past two years.
Confirmation that such a high-profile figure from the Islamic State (IS) group had slipped undetected into France prompted a sharp response from Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, who demanded Europe step up its response to the terror threat.
