Summary Imran Khan said that Zamung Kor will become a model institute for street kids.
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – A model institute for street children titled ‘Zamung Kor’ was launched today (Friday) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The project was inaugurated in Naspa by Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, who was accompanied by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Addressing the gathering, Imran Khan said that Zamung Kor will become a model institute for street kids that will be replicated across districts.
“I want to particularly thank Reham Khan today for her efforts towards making Zamung Kor happen,” he said, adding that Reham worked hard on this initiative.
We should hang our heads in shame for turning face away from street kids, he said.
The PTI chief said KP government will make leaders out of these street children.
ABOUT ZAMUNG KOR
The project is envisaged to provide education to one thousand poor street children at Charsadda Road, Peshawar. The provincial government envisions a child sensitive society where children are enjoying their rights of protection and development.

— PTI (@PTIofficial) November 20, 2015 Zamung Kor will provide boarding, schooling, technical education, counseling, recreation and grants to street children. It will will also provide rehabilitation to street children who live with their parents or relatives at night.
The children living in jails with convicted mothers will also be made part of the welfare program.
The project aims to tailor its initiatives to ensure that sustainable solutions are devised for street children.
