The government decides to hold a donors conference in Islamabad on September 19 and decides to give a financial aid of 20 thousand rupees per family. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani later on Monday. President and PM directed to pay 5 thousand immediately to the affected people as the first installment of their financial aid while President Zardari called for transparency in all phases of relief and rehabilitation.Presidential spokesman Farhat Ullah Babar said it has been decided in the meeting to hold the donors conference on the platform of Pakistan Development Forum and Foreign Ministry has been directed to start preparation immediately. According to sources, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been given the task to visit his counterparts from the European Union and brief them about the devastation laid by flood. He was also directed to convince EU so that they allow us access to their trade markets.
