The Meteorological Department warned of floods in Hyderabad district, which could spread further devastation in Sindh, and issued a significant flood forecast for Kalabagh and Chashma in Punjab. Local governments in both provinces also issued warnings about more flooding in the days ahead.Authorities are trying to save the important areas of Hyderabad including Latifabad and Hussainabad. Tens of thousands of people were evacuated from flood-threatened areas.On the other hand the district administration of Shahdad Kot issues last warning to leave the city foreseeing the disasters that could strike due to flood.Water safety barrier of Shahdad Kot has become week due to heavy strike of flood waves. District administration and NHA put their combined efforts and deploy heavy machinery to reinforce the barrier..Over 300 villages located at the outskirts of Thatta have been inundated whereas water is besieging Shahdadkot from two sides. Mounting water pressure at Kotri Barrage submerged many areas from Ghora Bari to KT Bundar; the pressure decreased at Bund Manarak, Sorjani and Sonda Halaya. Several areas including Latifabad, Qasimabad and Hussainabad have been flooded as pressure increased on the safety dykes of Kotri Barrage as high flood was passing through it. Floodwater entered Essa Shoro and Odi Shoro. Surge of 950,000 cusecs is passing through Banot, Old Hala and Bao Dero at River Indus. Rescue operation by Army and Navy is underway in the said areas. On the other hand, residents of Sajawal, Mirpur Bhattoro, Mirpur Sakro, Jung Shahi, Allah Rakhio, KT Bundar, Shah Bundar have been warned of the imminent flooding. Meanwhile, a fresh flood tide has entered into Gandhaka; Sohbutpur has also been given evacuation orders. A super flood is being reported in Kotri Barrage; Guddu and Sukkur Barrages are still in hazardous situation while Tarbela Dams water level reaches capacity level.
