Summary Where's ECP sleeping now when govt is interfering in NA-122, asks CM Khyber Pakhtunkhawa

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) Pervez Khattak has on Tuesday said that he is the chief executive of the province, not some 1122 service who would reach everywhere. “Where is the Election Commission now when the government is interfering in NA-122”, said the CM KP, reported Dunya News.

Holding a press conference at Chairman Secretariat in Lahore today, CM Khattak said that as the chief executive of his province, he is trying to improve the system through the policy of merit. He claimed to have brought improvement in various fields including education, health and accountability. He said that it is not important for him to be everywhere.

CM KP demanded a national commission on Kalabagh Dam and said that decision on Kalabagh Dam must be taken only after consulting all the provinces. He alleged the federal government of being unfair to KP over electricity issue.

Answering a question over inclusion of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) back into KP government, CM Khattak said that the KP government never asked QWP to leave the coalition. “We had just asked them to change two ministers. However, we are on same page now”, said Khattak.
