Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has vowed to eliminate the desperadoes being sent out by the terrorists to assassinate the VIPs and other significant personalities, saying that the extremists have been shifted to the strategy of assassination from suicide bombing and other terror activities. Briefing media representatives in Peshawar on Thursday, Rehman said that such incidents could not demoralize the people of Pakistan as they are untied against the menace. Rehman said that investigation is underway regarding the killing of Pakhtuns in Karachi and added that he would announce a new strategy to tackle the situation in metropolis this evening. He maintained that terrorists are using the name of Pakhtuns to trigger ethnic clash in Karachi. He said the terrorists are trying to unleash anarchy in the economic hub of the country. He said, the country is in state of war and we should work jointly against it. He also announced to give Sitara-e- Shujat to Safwat Ghayoor of FC who was martyred in Peshawar on Wednesday.
