Summary Crusade in Punjab against diseased meat continues, 3120kg meat found in Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – 3120 kilograms of diseased meat has on Friday been found in Lahore, Sargodha and Faisalabad as the crusade against diseased meat continues in Punjab. It has also been revealed that meat of the animals suffering from jaundice has always been found in Lahore. 35 suspects have been arrested for selling this diseased meat, reported Dunya News.

In Lahore, Punjab Food Authority (PFA) and Livestock department raided various places in Green Town, Kahna, Liaquatabad and various other areas to discover 320kg of diseased meat while 7 were arrested.

Over 2000kg of diseased meat was taken into custody in Sargodha from interior city, New Satellite Town and Kot Fareed Road. The meat was wasted later on while 18 butchers were arrested.

800kg of diseased meat was taken into custody from Faisalabad’s Jhumra Road. 10 people were arrested.

Police’s special branch has been ordered to find more meat of dead animals in Faisalabad.
