Summary Notices have been sent due to an application by Dr Asim's spouse
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court issued a notice to Director General (DG) Rangers and other plaintiffs over an application filed by spouse of Dr Asim on Friday, reported Dunya News.
Spouse of Dr Asim took the stance in her application that Rangers were appointed in Sindh to assist police only and not to arrest and investigate on their own initiative. She said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is present to investigate corruption cases. She pleaded to the court that under the Terrorism Act, Dr Asim’s arrest and detainment be declared illegal.
Court has sent DG Rangers and other plaintiff notices to appear before the court on September 15.
