Chicken meat injurious to health was confiscated in large quantity and arrested 3 suspects

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Punjab Food Minister and Punjab Food Authority raided Tollinton Market Lahore and arrested 3 vendors selling dead and diseased chicken and confiscated meat injurious to health in large quantity, reported Dunya News.

According to details, hen meat weighed over 100 kg and over 200 dead hens were confiscated from Tollinton Market in Lahore by Punjab Food Authority and Punjab Food Minister. 3 vendors involved in this heinous crime were arrested and investigations are underway.

 



 

 

 

Food Minister Punjab Bilal Yaseen and Director Punjab Food authority Ayesha Mumtaz said that every step will be taken to bring the suspects, selling dead animals’ meat to the public, to the book. The officials also took notice of the poor measures for cleanliness of the market. They warned the shopkeepers about cleanliness of the market in future.
