Summary Persons belonging to media were also taken hostage for half an hour

FAISLABAD (Dunya News) – 4 people of an inspection team including Assistant Commissioner (AC) City were held hostage by factory owners during inspection of a factory. 4 people including members of inspection team and police personnel were injured by stoning from residents of locality, reported Dunya News.

AC Shahrukh Niazi along with police and members of Health Department conducted raid on a factory Sadhu Pura where fake beverages were being made. When the raiding team tried to take 4 persons including factory owners into custody, they were attacked by factory workers

Residents of the locality, many of which are also workers in the factory, climbed their rooftops and began throwing stones on the inspection team due to which 4 government officials were injured. Persons belonging to media were also taken hostage for half an hour.

Contingents of police were sought and hostages were rescued as additional personnel arrived. According to AC City, a special team has been formed to conduct raids and arrest the persons responsible for the incident.
