ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Khalilullah Qazi on Thursday has said that National Security Advisor (NSA) level talks with India include matters like Kashmir dispute and violation of ceasefire treaty at Line of Control (LoC).

The spokesperson mentioned the points in weekly briefing held at the FO in the federal capital.

He said that it is hoped that India would not stop Hurriyat leaders from meeting advisor to Prime Minister (PM) on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz. He said that taking Kashmiri leaders in confidence is a regular matter that is done before talks with India.

The FO spokesperson said that Kashmir dispute is included in agenda of talks with India. He said that India violated the ceasefire treaty at least 70 times in past two months.

While talking about efforts for curbing terrorism, Qazi said that Pakistan has no distinction of “good or bad” terrorists. Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies are targeting and hunting down terrorists indiscriminately.

The FO representative also talked briefly about relations with United States (US) of America. He said that talks are held after regular intervals about different matters including funds.

Qazi once again cleared that Pakistan is playing a mere cooperator in Afghanistan reconciliation. International community has appreciated Pakistan’s role in the process. However, he said that it is dependent on Afghanistan authorities when to conduct second round of talks.

The weekly briefing also mentioned relations with United Arab Emirates (UAE). Qazis aid that Pakistan is enjoying warm relations with middle eastern countries in defense and security sectors. At least one million citizens are present in UAE for jobs.
