Indian firing: Woman succumbs to injury at CMH Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – A woman, who was shot by Indian troops at LoC in Jandrot sector on August 8, has succumbed to her injury at the Combined Military Hospital in Rawalpindi, the ISPR reported.

28-year-old Fareeda was resident of Nadheri village in Kotli district.

She was shot in her belly by Indian troops at LoC in Jandrot Sector on August 8.

During last three weeks, at least five Pakistani civilians have lost their lives and more than 20 others injured as Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) resorted to unprovoked firing along the Working Boundary in different sectors in Kashmir and Sialkot.

India and Pakistan often accuse each other of violating a 2003 ceasefire agreement. The two countries have fought three wars, two of them over the divided and disputed Kashmir region.
