LHC issues stay order against NA-61 by-elections

Rawalpindi bench of Lahore High Court has issued stay order against by-elections in NA-61 Chakwal. It was maintained in the petition filed by Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi that a petition is already being heard and the by-polls should be stopped till the court announces any decision. On this, LHC justice Saghir Ahmed Qadri issued stay order against by-polls in NA-61 Chakwal. The August 25 by-polls were announced in this constituency after the resignation of MNA Faiz Tamman.
