US expresses grief over Naltar tragedy
US is with the affected families, says US FO spokesperson
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – United States (US) on Saturday has expressed grief over the Naltar tragedy that claimed the lives of two foreign ambassadors along with others.
US State Department Deputy Acting Spokesman Jeff Rathke expressed sorrow over the tragedy in a media briefing.
While answering a question, he said that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) authorities have said that the crash was caused by a technical issue and US trusts the country’s stance.
"We have no reason to doubt what the Pakistani authorities have said. But, of course, it s just happened, so they re investigating," State Department Deputy Acting Spokesman Jeff Rathke told reporters.
No American embassy personnel or US citizens were affected in the incident, he noted.
