LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that $46 billion gift from China is not just for Punjab but is for whole Pakistan, adding that Chinese engineers and experts will be provided every kind of security possible.
Addressing a news conference, Shahbaz Sharif said that the energy projects to get Pakistan out of darkness will be completed by 2018.
He said energy projects with capacity of 10,400 megawatts are being deployed in the country out of which 2620 mw project will be in Punjab.
Chief Minister said that the non-functional industries will start again with the completion of energy projects. He further said that United States of America (USA) is Pakistan’s well wisher, adding that Pakistan’s progress is in US’ interest.
He said Pakistan’s ‘historic’ relations with the US will not be affected. He said Pakistan has to see whether it wants to appease India or become a friend to China.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistanis will accept China’s friendship instead of India’s slavery, adding that India should not make fuss over Pakistan’s progress.
He said that China’s kindness will always be remembered and that the military leadership assured China of security arrangements while being in the full harmony.
