Summary Fair election not possible with target killers and extortionists as returning officers: Hafiz Naeem

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muattahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers have been appointed as polling staff, said Jamaat Islami (JI) leader Hafiz Naeem Rehman on Wednesday in Karachi.

Naeem was talking to media along with Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Saleem Zia. JI leader said that many presiding officers and much of the polling staff consist of MQM workers. “How can you expect a fair election when target killers and extortionists will be the returning officers in the election”, said Hafiz Naeem. He said that they will bring the peace of Karachi back by winning the election with the support of majority.

He said that they are not only facing MQM but fake voter lists as well in Karachi as the business of fake identity cards was already on peak. Naeem said that Supreme Court also said that voter lists of Karachi are not accurate.

PML-N Saleem Zia said that they hope this time people will cast their votes with free will and real vote bank of Karachi will show up.
