KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders on Sunday alleged that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has held Karachi hostage for over thirty years but did not do anything for the people.

Addressing the campaign rally in NA246 for the by-election, PTI candidate Imran Ismail asked whether quota system has been abolished, whether land mafia and china cutting has been abolished as promised by the MQM. “Did Biharis return to the country? Did Karachi become peaceful”, he asked.

PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that MQM has held Karachi hostage and that his ‘political sight’ is seeing victory in the by-election.

PTI’s Secretary General Jehangir Tareen said that Imran Khan is a ray of light, urging people to vote for bat which is PTI’s electoral symbol.

Faisal Wada said that the politics of terrorism has to be eliminated from Karachi, adding that the NA 246 by-poll is against the unrest.
