Summary Pakistan will always welcome Sikh pilgrims with open arms, he said
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Saturday said that good relations with neighbours are crucial, adding that Pakistan is desirous of resolving all issues through dialogue.
Addressing the participants of Baisakhi festival, Aziz said that Pakistani people and government sees Sikh pilgrims with respect and that Pakistan will always welcome them with open arms.
Sartaj Aziz said that Pakistan’s top priority is economic development for which good relations with the neighbours are crucial.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s India visit demonstrated Pakistan’s intent of resolving issues through dialogue.
The advisor said that the need of the hour is to remove illiteracy and poverty from the region. He said everyone is free to practice their religion in Pakistan and that the government is taking steps to guard holy sites of the minority faiths.
