PTI resignations case: LHC seeks reply from federal, Punjab govts till May 22

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday has sought a formal reply from federation and Punjab government till May 22 over the resignations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members.

During the hearing of a plea filed by Arslan Iftekhar in LHC, the petitioner stated that the PTI members have resigned as per constitution, therefore, the court should direct the honorable Speaker to approve their resignations.

He further appealed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to issue notification to them.

Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing by seeking reply from Speaker National Assembly, Federation and Punjab government.
