ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Saturday issued directive to the law enforcement to ensure security at PTI’s campaign rally for by-poll in Karachi’s NA 246 constituency, Dunya News reported.
Chaudhry Nisar said the attitude that has been adopted against PTI in Karachi is contrary to democratic values. He said Rangers can be deployed during polling if the Election Commission deems it necessary.
In a statement, Nisar said that every party including PTI should be free to campaign for election in Karachi. He said if Election Commission recommends, Rangers can be deployed during polling in Karachi.
The federal minister directed Chief Secretary and Inspector General (IG) Sindh to ensure security at PTI rallies.
