Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Monday asserted that extremism would not be allowed to eat away countrys culture and traditions. During an address to the NATO Atlantic Council, Gilani said that Pakistans role in world and regional peace could not be underplayed.He maintained that implementation of UN charter is vital for global peace. He said that declaring Pakistan a non-NATO ally showed deep partnership with Pakistan. Referring to Pakistan-India ties, the PM said that Pakistan seeks peaceful talks with the neighbouring country; however, he expressed concern over Indias huge defence budget. He stated that Pakistan wanted peace in Afghanistan and would never allow talibanization in any area.
