A defamation case of at least Rs 20 billion is likely to be filed in court on January 20

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former chief justice (CJ) of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday has completed his preparations to file a defamation case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan for accusing him of assisting Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in alleged rigging in General Elections 2013.

According to the sources, Chaudhry’s legal team has prepared a draft to file a defamation case against Khan. A defamation case of at least Rs 20 billion is likely to be filed in Islamabad’s District and Sessions Court on January 20 (tomorrow).

Advocate Toufeeq Asif, Advocate Sheikh Ahsanuddin and Advocate Nayab Gardezi will constitute former CJ’s legal team.
