Death toll escalates to 261 in famine-struck Thar
Affected people have been awaiting assistance promised by the government.
THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – Death toll escalated to 261 after five more children died in Thar due to famine in a span of 91 days.
Affected people of Thar have been suffering the scarcity of food, water and medicinal facilities in Thar, Chachro and Mithi for a long time while the government and administration remained deaf eared.
Medical teams were not dispatched to the affected areas despite tall claims of the government and administration.
