Summary Governor Sindh has ordered to restore electricity as early as possible.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A break-down of electricity supply being observed in Karachi today (Sunday) as the both high tension lines of National Grid Station tripped, Dunya News reported.
As per details, a complete blackout occurred at 3:50am in the metropolis when the both high tension lines tripped away closing all the electricity production units.
The electricity failure resulted in glooming the areas of Lyari, Sadar, Landhi, Defence, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Sohrab Goth and North Nazimabad whereas various hospitals and airports have also become affected.
According to electricity spokesman Ahmad Faraz, both lines tripped away due to humidity caused by the dense fog whereas the staff is busy in sorting out the issue as early as possible.
Moreover, Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad has taken the notice of the issue and has also directed the officials of electricity department to ensure the quick restoration of electricity.
