Iqbal day is being celebrated with national passion and dignity
LAHORE (Dunya News) – 137th birth anniversary of South Asia s celebrated philosopher and poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal is being celebrated countrywide on Sunday.
According to details, dignified tribute was paid by Pakistan Navy at the Shrine of Iqbal in Lahore.
Station Commander of Pakistan Navy Lahore, S.M. Shahzad inaugurated the ceremony as a chief guest and honored the achievements of Iqbal.
The dignitaries offered prayers and laid floral garland at shrine as tribute on this occasion.
In accordance with the Iqbal day, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain expressed that today nation needs a man with the tolerance and determination like great Allama Iqbal.
Moreover, various educational institutes would arrange special functions on the vision, philosophy and poetry of Allama Iqbal.
