ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The movement of no confidence against Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak was deferred after permission of political contact was not granted by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Dunya News reported.

Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman asked why Khattak’s participation in ‘civil disobedience’ movement doesn’t constitute sedition.

The opposition parties of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province were also disputed on the matter of withdrawing the no confidence movement against the Chief Minister.

Addressing press conference after meeting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Fazlur Rehman said that the decision to defer the movement was taken after mutual consultation.

He said no such thing as the KP government exists in the province.

Prior to that, Fazlur Rehman sought Prime Minister’s permission to enhance political contacts in order to move no confidence movement against the Khattak but PM Nawaz stopped him from moving forward.

PM stated that there are several political fronts open at the moment and no new issues should be created.

Nawaz Sharif said the government will respect each party’s mandate wherever it is.

Meanwhile, the KP opposition parties have disputed over whether to defer the movement against KP CM or not.

The final decision by the opposition parties after thorough consultation is expected until Wednesday. Awami National Party (ANP) and Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) have moved for a vote.
