A total of twelve entry points have been established   while the ground has been filled with banners, party leadership photos and party flags.

Meanwhile, strict security arrangements are in place to avert any untoward incident. Around 18,000 policemen have been deployed across the metropolis while security personnel of special branch and other agencies will also perform their duties.

Fifty scanners have been established and 1124 closed-circuit television cameras (CCTVs) have been installed to monitor public movement.

On the other hand, MA Jinnah road has been blocked from Guru Mandir to Capri Cinema, University Road from Jail Chowrangi while all roads leading towards Shahrae-e-Quaideen have been sealed.

All petrol pumps on Shara-e-Faisal have also been closed.

The PPP, which is the ruling party in the southern Sindh province, is optimistic about a massive turnout for the rally.

"It is a huge occasion for the party as this will be Bilawal s first public rally in Karachi and also the first big rally by the PPP in the city after a long time," Sindh information minister Sharjeel Memon said.

"Around 20,000 vehicles will come from interior parts of Sindh and party supporters are also coming by trains from other parts of the country for the rally," Memon added.

The rally is being held on October 18, the day Bilawal s mother and slain Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan after eight years in exile in 2007 and was attacked in twin blasts at Shahra-e-Faisal.
