Ebola virus spread in India, KSA and South Asia would be a cause of concern for Pakistan.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Health Department advisor Salman Rafique has said on Friday that if any case of Ebola is reported from India, Saudi Arabia or South Asia, Pakistan would be at a risk of it. Mortality rate of patients infected with Ebola is 70-80 percent.

Salman Rafique was the chief guest at a ceremony held in Punjab Stadium for the cause of poverty eradication in which children from different schools participated. He affirmed that currently Pakistan is not at the risk of Ebola virus. However, as a safety measure Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan airports are on a high alert.

He said that the measures against dengue are going successful so far but the next five weeks are crucial and require complete protection against the disease.

Distributing prizes among the winning students, Salman Rafique said that raising awareness through sports activities is an effective step.
