Summary Celebrities from across the world have turned to social media to wish the Nobel Prize winners.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Soon after Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani teenage education campaigner was awarded the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, congratulatory messages started rolling in from all around the world. Malala has won along with Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian children’s rights activist. The social media websites including Facebook and Twitter have been flooded with congratulatory messages to both Nobel Peace Prize winners. Local and international celebrities, politicians and public figures turned to Twitter to extend their wishes to the winners.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has congratulated Malala Yousafzay on winning the Nobel peace prize, calling her the "pride" of his country.
"She is the pride of Pakistan. She has made her countrymen proud. Her achievement is unparallelled and unequalled. Girls and boys of the world should take the lead from her struggle and commitment, he said in a statement to AFP.
President Mamnoon Hussain also appreciated Malala Yousufzai on her win and lauded her struggle for the cause of education for girls.
Federal Interior Minister Chauhdry Nisar congratulated the nation and Malala Yousafzay on winning the Nobel Peace Prize and making the country proud.
