Summary Foreign Office has acknowledged the smooth transfer of power in Afghanistan.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In the weekly media briefing on Thursday in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam Khan said Pakistan has not deviated from its stance over Kashmir and that the solution to Kashmir dispute lies in plebiscite and should therefore be solved according to the resolutions of the United Nations Organization (UNO).
Simla agreement does not weaken the resolutions and consultation with the Kashmiri leaders is a routine practice, she added.
She pronounced Afghanistan is a sovereign state and is at liberty to sign agreements with other countries and Foreign Office has acknowledged the smooth transfer of power in Afghanistan and welcomed the bilateral security agreements between United States of America (USA) and Afghanistan.
Tasnim Aslam said Pakistan and India are neighbouring countries and sooner or later they are to come on table talks to fetch solution to the issues faced.
Spokesperson FO said India didn’t respond positively to the suggestion of retreating armies from Siachen.
She regretted over not being able to eradicate polio despite utmost efforts. She said polio vaccines are being given to the all the Pakistani citizens travelling abroad.
Tasnim Aslam said terrorism is a joint responsibility of the regional states. She told there is a procedure in the resolutions at the UNO to declare any institute or organization as terrorists.
Unilateral sanction on 3 Pakistanis by America is not applicable in Pakistan, she clarified.
