Summary Supreme Court disposed of Musharraf’s plea declaring it time-barred.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) The apex court disposed of Pervez Musharraf’s plea against the decision of July 31, declaring it time-barred. The court said the plea was not filed in the stipulated time.

The 14-strong bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussain Gilani heared the plea.

Attorney for the ex-president Shariffuddin Pirzada gave his arguments stating that the conflict between the president and the ex-CJP began when army chief summoned him. Justice Jawad S Khwaja asked the attorney to show him the paragraph in the plea regarding the alleged bias of the Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry.

The worthy court asked whether the permission for another extra-constitutional step was being sought, to which the attorney replied by saying no.

On the other hand, the special court resumed the hearing of the treason case against former military ruler Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf.

During today s hearing, the court headed by Sindh High Court s Justice Faisal Arab rejected the request of the former president s counsel which had sought to adjourn the hearing.
