RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif visited Tilla Ranges near Jhelum today (Thursday) and witnessed live field firing and battle inoculation maneuvers being conducted in near real environment.
On arrival at the Tilla Ranges, the Chief of Army Staff was given a detailed briefing on the aim and objectives of ongoing exercise by the respective Field Commanders. Troops from Lahore Corps and PAF aircrafts participated in the exercise.
COAS commended the standard of training of the participating troops and lauded their skills, precision and accuracy in engaging the targets.
While talking to troops, COAS said all available means must be utilized to improve the operational capability of the Army to effectively respond to full spectrum of threat. Strenuous training and highest standard of preparedness in peacetime are the only guarantors of peace.
Earlier, on arrival in the field area, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Naweed Zaman, Corps Commander Lahore.
