Summary TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said the government doesn't seem serious to hold talks.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has offered the Pakistani government to hold meaning dialogue.
In a statement released on Sunday, the TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said the government doesn’t seem serious to hold talks, adding that they were ready to hold dialogue with the government of Pakistan if they show their sincerity and ability.
Meanwhile, the PML-N government had been reiterating that peace talks with Taliban should be given a chance, saying that the military force would be the last option. However, opposition parties had expressed their reservation over the delay in holding talks with militant groups.
On September 9, the PML-N government was given a mandate to hold dialogue with all militant and extremists groups including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. However, the government failed to formulate any strategy even after four months.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan demanded the government to call another all parties conference (APC) over Taliban during his last press conference while Pakistan people’s party had been demanding military action against terrorist groups.
In the current scenario, the political analysts believed that there were many factions of Taliban in Pakistan while foreign elements were also involved in destabilizing the country. Therefore, the government should avoid delaying tactics and announce a clear policy to shun terrorism and extremism.
