LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said his party has launched a movement for peaceful revolution, adding that he will make 35 provinces in the country. 

PAT chief said the government should fulfill the basic rights of masses or else they’d snatch it themselves.

Addressing a PAT rally against price-hike, Tahirul Qadri vowed to rebuilt Quaid’s Pakistan. He said those in power wants to get hold of all giant public institutions by privatizing them, adding that the same public organizations can make profits if corruption was eradicated.

Slamming parliamentarians, Qadri said 50 percent of the lawmakers doesn’t pay taxes, adding that such politicians do not have a right to sit in parliament.

Hundreds of Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers gathered on the call of Tahirul Qadri to protest inflation, corruption, unemployment and law and order situation of the country in Lahore.

The rally, set from Nasir Bagh marched up to Punjab Assembly in Lahore. Allama Tahirul Qadri addressed the rally via video link.

During the march, activists and supporters of the PAT voiced slogans against inflation and disorder in the country. Educative pamphlets were also being distributed among the general public inviting their co-operation and support for making this rally a big success.

Heavy contingents of police were deployed at Nasir Bagh, Chowk Anarkali, High Court Chowk, Regal Chowk and Charing Cross Chowk.

Large screens were installed at the Regal Chowk facilitating the people to listen to the video-link address of PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri to the rally.
