Summary Police have prepared third incomplete challan in Judges Detention Case.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ten more witnesses have offered to record their evidence against former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf in Judges’ Detention Case.

According to the sources, police have prepared third incomplete challan in which Deputy Secretary National Assembly Muhammad Mushtaq, correspondent of PTV centre Raja Zaheer and six policemen, deputed at Judges Colony at the time of imposition of emergency, have been included as witnesses.

Verified copies of speech of former PM Yousuf Raza Gilani in the National Assembly on March 24 2008, regarding restoration of judges have also been included in the challan, while NA Deputy Secretary Muhammad Mushtaq would record his evidence regarding the speech.

Press conference of former PM Shaukat Aziz on second day of declaration of emergency on November 4, 2007 has also been made part of the challan. PTV’s reporter Raja Zaheer is witness to the video recording of this press conference of Shaukat Aziz.

Police have forwarded third incomplete challan of the case to Special Public Prosecutor Amir Nadeem Tabish who will submit the challan to the court on September 20. The total number of witnesses in the case has reached 45.

The plaintiff of the case Muhammad Aslam Ghuman has already withdrawn from pursuing the case while Prosecutor Syed Muhammad Tayyab had also excused from pursuing the case.
