Summary Two top leaders discuss strategy for holding talks with militant groups in the light of APC.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani held a meeting here on Wednesday.
According to media reports, during the meeting the prime minister and army chief discussed the implementation of the All Parties Conference resolution.
The two also discussed the overall security situation in the country.
According to sources, the strategy for holding talks with the militants groups was also discussed. The decision to hold talks with the militants was taken during the APC as a measure to tackle terrorism in Pakistan.
This is the first meeting between the PM and COAS following the All Parties Conference.
In the APC it was emphasized that there was complete harmony between civilian and military leadership and two were on the same page over the security and sovereignty of the country.
