Summary Says Maulana will be served notice to establish the accusation in court or recant his statement.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Chairman Tehreek Insaf Pakistan Imran Khan Sunday said a legal notice was being sent to Maulana Fazlur Rehman over provocative accusations.
He was addressing a press conference here on Sunday.
About the contempt of court notice, Imran said he would appear before the Supreme Court with full preparation and would defend himself.
“Free judiciary is the first point in the manifesto of PTI and we have always been in the frontline in its defence,” he said.
The PTI chief said he could never think about insulting the courts; adding he only raised a legitimate objection regarding the role of Returning Officers in the general elections.
Imran said PTI would issue a White Paper regarding the large scale rigging in the general elections 2013.
“These were the most controversial elections in the history of Pakistan,” Imran said.
He said tax evasion was the major problem of Pakistan and root cause of all other problems.
“PML-N government has put all pressure on the poor people by price-hike instead of taking action against tax evaders,” he said; adding honest people were paying the price for the corruption of rich.
To a question about attack on Dera Ismail Khan Jail, the PTI chief said CM Khyber-Paktunkhwa Khattak would soon issue an inquiry report about the incident.
